2 c skim milk
1/2 c brown sugar
1/4 c reduced cal. margarine or butter
1 Tbs. salt
1 c lukewarm water
2 pkgs yeast
4 c whole wheat flour
2-3 c white flour
1/2 c oat bran (can use wheat bran, or rice bran)
1/2 c ground flax
2 Tbs. flax seed
1/4 c pumpkin seeds -roasted and shelled
heat milk until small bubbles form stir in sugar and butter and salt until butter is melted, in large bowl soften yeast over water 5 min. -pour lukewarm milk mix over yeast water. Stir in wheat flour until smooth, add white flour, bran and gr flax. add more flour if needed for soft pliable dough, knead in flax and pumpkin seeds. let rise until double, punch down form loaves (2) Let rise in sprayed pans or bake without pan in a round or free form shape. bake at 350 approx. 30 min.
