Have you seen this fabulous magazine yet?  Such great articles, wonderful kitchen shots, yummy recipes and just plain great ideas!
At $14.99 on news stands it is a great bargain. From Sommerset Studios, usually known for paper craft and stamping comes this fantastic kitchen bookazine (book-magazine).
It even has a precious article on where little women cook.

Home Canning Book

If you can or have ever thought about it, I highly recommend this book. Great variety of recipes with instructions in the back.  Covers all the basics for water bath canning and pressure cooking.

All the  traditional recipes and some less common too 400 in all!

a passion for Baking- Book Review

This is one of my favorite cook books. It is written by Marcy Goldman and has 220 great baking recipes.  Breads, cookies, cakes and pies, cheesecake and even a grain section. Full of wonderful pictures, easy to follow instructions and practical techniques.  A couple of my favorite recipes are Cafe Latte Carmel Biscotti, Carrot Cake Scones and Mississippi Mud Bars.
