Easy Rice Casserole

The first person I remember ever making this is my Step mother Rachel, It seems most people now have this recipe and it is one of their favorites, it can be made in the microwave but for best results use the oven.

1 cup rice, not minute or quick cooking
1 can consomme' soup   (fancy beef broth, Campbel'ls makes a good one)
1 can French onion soup
1 stick of butter or margarine
1 small can mushrooms  (opt) I say Ick! skip 'em
melt butter, add rest of ingredients bake in a 2 qt baking dish at 350 for 45 min.
 YUM and it smells delightful
